No rest for Devon's Firefighters
After months of bad weather the sun is finally back and South West locals are lapping up the good weather whilst they can. However, the sun does not mean a break for all of us, with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service being called to many incidents over the weekend.
In the early hours of this morning ( Sunday 16th March) firefighters from Danes Castle were called to conduct a lift rescue.
Crew spent around half an hour rescuing two people trapped in a lift at Birks Grange, New North Road, Exeter at 12.15am.
Both those trapped in the lift left the scene unharmed.
Other incidents firefighters have been called to so far this weekend include a blaze at Exeter's Marsh Barton, a toilet rescue in Budleigh Salterton and a kitchen fire in Seaton.
The good weather means barbeques are sure to be a popular eatery option today. TED asks it's readers to enjoy the sun safely.
