Top panel and racecourse gallop at Exeter’s Star Sports Cheltenham Festival Preview Evening
The build up to the 2014 Cheltenham Festival begins at Exeter Racecourse on Friday, February 21 at 6.30pm when an all-star line up will answer punters questions at its annual preview evening after Cheltenham hopefuls have been put through their paces on the racecourse.
On the panel are the Westcountry’s top three trainers Paul Nicholls, Philip Hobbs and David Pipe who will answer questions from the audience about their Festival chances. Nicholls’ number two jockey and Exeter ambassador Nick Scholfield will give his thoughts on the runners and Andrew King from the Racing Post and Luke Tarr from Star Sports will add his views. Presenting the evening is Racing UK’s Oli Bell.
The evening is sponsored by Star Sports and is £20 per head on the day, or £15 if booked in advanced, and includes a one course meal.
A day’s racing precedes the event with the first race off at 2.20pm. Then when the last race has concluded at 4.50pm, Cheltenham contenders will be put through their paces with a racecourse gallop. Pre-book to come racing and attend the preview evening for £33 (Premier) or £28 (Grandstand and Paddock).
Racegoers can also enjoy the luxury of the River Rooms on February 21 for just £40 per person (including VAT).
Premier admission, the best views of the racecourse and a one course meal are included in the price. A free bus to the racecourse leaves Exeter St Davids at 12.30pm and Exeter Bus and Coach Station at 12.45pm and returns 30 minutes after the last race. Ticket hotline 0844 5793005.
