Firefighters in England and Wales will join hundreds of thousands of other public sector workers taking strike action on Thursday 10 July, the Fire Brigades Union has announced.

The long-running dispute over firefighters’ pensions will see a further day of strikes at the same time as a walk out by local government workers, teachers and civil servants over a range of issues, including attacks on pay and pensions and workloads.

Young Brits are saving rather than spending

Young Britons are bucking the trend of the generation before them by choosing to save rather than spend, according to new figures out this week. Hundreds of fake England football shirts have been seized during the World Cup at London’s Heathrow Airport - by Rooney and his temmates.

A team from Border Force – containing officer Sean Rooney – discovered the consignment of more than 400 home and away replica jerseys in freight on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 June.
