We all have at least one woman in our lives for who buying a gift is challenging. Whether this is a Christmas or birthday gift, or for some other occasion, we struggle to find something they will like, and won’t already have. If you’re stuck for gift ideas, here are some suggestions.

Jewellery

Because many women spend so much time looking after everyone else, they’re less likely to splash on elegant and timeless jewellery for themselves. Gifts such as pearl earrings, bracelets or rings from Chisholm Hunter can make the recipient feel special. Even if she already has similar jewellery, you can never have too many pieces. Each one can add to an outfit and make her feel confident. If she has a lot of cheaper pieces, then pearls will stand out in her collection, and give her something she will look forward to wearing.

Personalisation

If you’re looking for a small gift, perhaps as a surprise, without needing to mark an occasion, personalised gifts are a great option. Notepads, mugs, mouse-mats and much more can be personalised. Often these will be under £10, so make thoughtful but affordable gifts. They also help to preserve memories if you use photographs to design your own unique gifts.

A subscription

There are so many subscription boxes available now, you’re not just limited to magazines if you want to get someone a gift that lasts throughout the year. Whatever you choose depends on the recipient’s interests, but you can pick from food, beauty products, alcohol, or coffee and so much more.

It's a great way of making them remember your gift because a new box will be delivered to them every month for as long as your chosen subscription lasts.

An experience

For people who seem to have everything, or at least everything they want, an experience might be the best gift. These provide memories and let you pamper them in a way they would never pamper themselves. You can buy them a three-course meal in a restaurant based on their preferred foods. Alternatively, you can pick from hotel stays, spa days or more daring experiences such as skydiving, zorbing or bungee jumping.

A hamper

Putting together a hamper full of her favourite things could make a great gift, and be cheaper than buying a pre-made hamper, which is likely to have some items she’ll like and many others she won’t. If you know what the person you’re buying for likes, it can be fun to purchase all her favourite luxury foods, beauty items and accessories you know she’ll love. Before the occasion arrives, you can be creative and arrange them all in a basket, decorating them to make them look even more amazing. It also saves her money by not having to buy some of these for herself.

Buying special gifts for women in your life who seem to have everything they want doesn’t have to be challenging. You can give thoughtful presents you know they will love and appreciate, and it only takes a little thought.
