Well, in the case of Exeter Chiefs, they sadly saw their European escapades end on a sad note, but not before giving reigning Heineken Cup champions Leinster another half decent scare.

Britain’s top divers will be gathering in Plymouth in a few weeks time for the first national competition of the new season.

Ten of the 12 divers who represented Team GB at London 2012 will be competing in the British Gas Diving Championships taking place at the Plymouth Life Centre from Friday 8th February to Sunday 10th February.

They include Plymouth’s own Tom Daley, Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow.

Somerset all-rounder Pete Trego is back at the County Ground training hard following his early return from New Zealand with a side strain.

With RockSolidRace’s inaugural event only two months away, obstacle racing is becoming the hot topic of conversation. The event, being held on 16th March, offers a challenge like no other seen in the South West.

We’re talking about the choice of a 5k or 10k obstacle course that includes scaling 8 ft walls, crawling through mud under barbed wire and plenty of water based obstacles - it’s certainly not a course for the faint-hearted!
