The World Equestrian Games begin in just two weeks time and British team members William Fox-Pitt, Harry Meade, and Australia’s Kevin McNab and Sam Griffiths will all be in action at this weekend’s Bicton Horse Trials. (16-17 August).

Griffiths will be using this open intermediate run as a final preparation for WEG-bound Paulank Brockagh who won this year’s Mitsubishi Badminton 2014. He has also entered nationwide-favourite Happy Times whom he partnered at London 2012 and will ride at Land Rover Burghley in September.

A thrilling afternoon of football saw the Grecians hold Portsmouth to a well-earned 1-1 draw at St James Park.

The £7.5m redevelopment of Sandy Park's West Grandstand has helped boost season ticket sales by five per cent.

Exeter City Chief Executive resigns

Exeter City chief executive, Guy Wolfenden, has resigned with immediate effect after less than a year at the club.

In a statement Wolfenden said: “I would like to thank everyone at the club for all their hard work over the previous months.

"The young, talented playing squad have great potential and I hope the supporters can get behind Paul Tisdale and his team this year. I wish the Club every success in the future.”

Exeter Chiefs Season Launch

The annual season launch of the Exeter Chiefs is taking place this weekend, on Saturday 9 August.

The fun filled event will run between 10am and 1pm and will be held in Bedford Square.

This is a chance for supporters to meet the players and coaching staff before the season kicks off in early September.
