'St Gudula' stands by the River Swincombe on Dartmoor

Ancient Holy Well Forms Centrepiece for new Dartmoor Community Pageant

The spirit of a medieval saint will be evoked in a new community ritual for Dartmoor, which aims to reconnect people with water and the land.

St Gudula’s Well in Ashburton, an ancient holy well, will be the focus of the ceremony, which will honour water as the source of all life, and also celebrate the start of summer.

‘Gudula’s Gathering’ has been conceived by events curator and writer Kirsteen McNish, and Helen Bruce of the Dartmoor Preservation Association, as the closing event for the Dartmoor Tors Festival.

It will incorporate a community procession and a...

What a great night we had on 5th November, courtesy of The Exeter Daily. I just can't believe how much money must have been spent on the fireworks, the pictures on this site are great but don't do the event full justice. The display went on for ages and the fireworks were spectacular from start to finish, towards the end it was mind-blowing with lots all being set off at the same time and merging together in the cold night sky. Great that it was a clear night, even though very cold.

Thank you Round Table, well worth a visit and I will be coming again next year !

Powder and Paint enjoys a successful first night

Crediton, last night. A full house saw the World Premier of Powder and Paint, The Musical. The story of Helena Rubinstein.

CODS, The Crediton Operatic and Drama Society, put on an amazing first ever performance of this fasinating musical story. The evening started with a Champagne reception and gave a chance to meet the people behind the event.

As the box office for the show, Olivia James Design are both happy and sad to say that all four shows have been sold out.
