Award-winning CFM sponsored Art Week Exeter - the city’s art festival, by hosting an art reception at Eagle House, Exeter Science Park.   Over 40 guests made up of CFM staff, clients, professionals from the Exeter business community, as well as friends and supporters were welcomed with fizz and wine.   Local artist Nicola Hendry showcased her works including acrylic canvasses, glass ornaments, ceramics and even funky trainers depicting various wildlife images which is a passion of hers.

There was interaction for guests throughout the evening with professional muralist, illustrator and painter Steve Dooley carrying out some gold leaf touch-ups on ‘Cath’ the rhino who will reside at Eagle House permanently.  CFM bought the rhino at an auction organised last year by Paignton Zoo as part of the ‘Great Big Rhino Project’, supporting conservation, which raised a total of £123,000.  The summer-long project saw a free public art trail of 40 life-size painted rhinos dotted around Exeter and the English Riviera.

Devon-based Steve has been a fulltime professional artist for over 25 years with commissioned work including large-scale murals and trompe l’oeil in some of the most beautiful private houses, stately homes, chateaux and castles both at home and abroad.
