Free NHS flu vaccination clinics available across Devon

It’s not too late to have your free NHS flu vaccination to protect yourself and your loved ones this winter.

Due to the current increase in the rates of flu and other respiratory infections, extra drop-in clinics are running for those eligible to get their free NHS flu vaccine and/or their seasonal COVID-19 booster vaccination.

East Devon residents are making a real difference to the lives of the homeless and vulnerable this Christmas as their unwanted clothing and textiles go towards funding the invaluable work of The Salvation Army.

Over the last 12 months, households have recycled an astonishing 250 tonnes of clothes, shoes and textiles which they can put in their green recycling boxes and are collected weekly by East Devon District Council’s contractors Suez UK from the kerbside. Police are appealing to the public for their assistance after launching an investigation into a sexual assault in an Exeter Nightclub.

Investigating officer Chris Raddan, said: “This incident relates to an alleged sexual assault within the top floor bar at Rosie’s Nightclub, Mary Arches Street, Exeter, at approximately 12.45am on Sunday 1 October.

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the Truth Project in Exeter.

Almost exactly two years after he purchased the old Millstone Bakery site in Ottery St Mary’s Mill Street, Tickety-Boo owner Stuart Phillips has unveiled an exciting extension to the coffee shop’s popular play kingdom – just in time for Christmas.

Furzehill play area in Sidbury is to undergo a major £30,000 refurbishment by East Devon District Council and local primary school children and young people from the area have now had their say on what they would like to see there.

Police appeal after spate of dog thefts

Police are appealing to the public for information following several reports of theft of dogs from North and South Molton.

The first incident happened at the kennels on The Square in North Molton on Friday 15 December between 9am and 5pm.

Three dogs were all pedigree cocker spaniels. CDS to deliver superfast broadband to thousands more in Devon

A major expansion of broadband rollout across Devon and Somerset has received Government approval to provide thousands more homes and businesses in Devon with access to a superfast connection.
