Work to start on Heavitree Road bus improvements

Improvement work to enhance bus services on Heavitree Road in Exeter will get underway next month (February).

The scheme, which will start on Monday 2 February, involves the construction of a new traffic island and installation of a new set of traffic signals at the end of the outbound (eastbound) bus lane between Grendon Road and Polsloe Road/Barrack Road.

Skaters in Exeter get early Christmas present

Skaters in Exeter have got an early Christmas present with the opening of a new skatepark. The new facility at Arena Park was opened today (Monday 10 December) by Exeter City Council. It contains ramps, quarterpipes, flatbanks, ledges and rails. The plaza style design also features a viewing/seating area overlooking all the action. Cartridges Law continues support for local charity group

Cartridges Law is continuing its support of a project which works with people who have dementia and their carers.

It’s the fourth year the St Thomas-based solicitors have supported the Budding Friends scheme, which is run by Age UK Exeter.

Safety barrier replacement planned on A380

Overnight closures on the Exeter-bound carriageway of the A380 Telegraph Hill will be needed for four evenings from Monday (10 December) to replace safety barriers.

A section of the barrier near Kenn was damaged in a collision last month. For the safety of motorists the whole length, of around 150 metres, will be removed and replaced with new barriers.
