Exeter Racecourse is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) for ELF Raceday, taking place on Friday 5th December 2025.

Through this collaboration, ELF and Exeter Racecourse will launch a special gifting programme aimed at bringing joy to children and families supported by the charity during the Festive season.

Cranbrook plan submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for examination

East Devon District Council has submitted the Cranbrook Plan, including supporting evidence and consultation responses, to the Secretary of State for examination.

The Cranbrook Plan will sit alongside the East Devon Local Plan and will shape the future development of the town at Cranbrook. It is hoped that the plan, which was submitted on 2 August 2019, will be examined during the autumn of this year and, if found sound, could be adopted early in 2020.

Cycling as a family helps to improve children’s mental health, say parents in south west England.

Exeter College is celebrating another year of exceptional academic results, following the best International Baccalaureate results in the college’s history earlier this summer. Today’s A Level results are also setting new records, with students achieving an overall pass rate of 99.7%, well above the national average of 97.6%.

Two Emergency Medicine doctors at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust are swapping their scrubs for the sea as they attempt to row 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, in aid of Devon Air Ambulance.

Charlie Fleury and Rosie Alterman, who make up the ‘EmergenSea Girls’, are planning to take part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in December 2020. The pair are both hoping to break the female pair world record for the race, as well as using the row as an opportunity to study the physiology and psychology behind women participating in ultra-endurance sports....

Stagecoach SW offers passengers more chances to travel further for less this summer

Stagecoach South West has announced it is continuing the trial of the Exeter plus boundary extension until the end of August.

Extending the Exeter plus boundary, beyond the city, offers a reduction to the cost of bus journeys for passengers travelling to/from Newton Poppleford, Sidmouth and Sidford.
