Two people in Exeter are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Friernhay Street neighbours netted the windfall when EX4 3AR was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Tuesday 16th June 2020.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners. She said: “A big congratulations to our winners today. I’m sure they’ll enjoy spending their winnings and I hope they treat themselves to something special!”

Teamwork was the keyword for fundraising by The Family Law Company which has just presented a donation of £1,000 to charity of the year, Citizen’s Advice Exeter.

It took teamwork to organise the fundraising events with the main activities, including a quiz held at Exeter’s Historic Guildhall in late 2019. This was well supported by teams from the local business community, raising £650. Further donations were received from teams taking part in a table tennis and pizza night held at the company’s Balliol offices.

AN EXETER home care provider is stepping up its support for a charity campaign for people each lunchtime to open their windows and shout ‘hello’ to their neighbours (June 2020).
