In July EX2 Group was proud to support Building Greater Exeter’s Work Experience Week, an inspiring initiative aimed at introducing Year 10 students to careers in the built environment.

EX2 group team member James Rayner TMIET, led an engaging hands-on solar masterclass for Year 10 students from the Ted Wragg Trust.

Ambulance & Fire Covid-19 to begin winter partnership

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) has begun a new partnership with fire services in the region to boost its Covid-19 emergency response this winter. The mutual aid project, which first ran from April to August, will see fire personnel from Cornwall, Devon & Somerset, Avon and Gloucestershire fire and rescue services supporting the Trust from Sunday 1 November for four months. In response to customer feedback, from Sunday 1st November Stagecoach South West is introducing some new timetables across their South West Network.

After continually monitoring service levels, the local bus operator have identified a few areas where they are adding in some extra journeys to give you more frequent connections and more seats per hour.

Leading climate scientist wins prestigious award

A world-leading climate scientist from the University of Exeter has received a prestigious award in recognition of his pioneering and innovative research.

Professor Adam Scaife, of the University’s Mathematics department, has been awarded the Edward Appleton Medal by the Institute of Physics (IOP), for his pivotal work on computer simulation and long-range prediction of the atmosphere.

FareShare South West , a charity who redistribute good quality, in date surplus food to frontline organisations supporting the most vulnerable, has announced that it is launching its core service into Exeter.
