Second stage announced for TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham

An exclusive second stage is being added to Devon’s biggest music event this summer – with a host of extra artists joining the line-up.

TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham takes place across the weekend Thursday June 25 to Sunday June 28 with headline shows from Teddy Swims , Alanis Morissette and Lewis Capaldi.

And now additional artists will take to the festival’s all-new Castle Green Stage , performing from 2.30pm each day as gates open as well as after each headline artist.

Project Manager who oversaw construction of Exeter’s flagship leisure centre, receives top award

The project manager of Exeter’s St Sidwell’s Point Leisure Centre has been crowned the Construction Manager of the Year in recognition of his work on the development.

Joe O’Connell, from Exmouth, who works for Kier Construction, was named the winner of the Public and Leisure category at this year’s Chartered Institute of Building’s prestigious CIOB Awards, where he was also selected as the coveted Construction Manager of the Year. Charity’s furniture upcycling workshop for unemployed gets funding boost

Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI), a local charity based in Exeter, has received a £10,195 funding boost to run a furniture upcycling workshop for the unemployed.

Funded by the European Social Fund, the 10-week workshop starts on 7 October but will accept starters for up to three weeks. It is open to anyone registered unemployed or economically inactive and considering moving towards employment or education.

A GROUP of restaurants that has recently expanded into producing ‘ready to steam’ at home meals has picked a Devon-based printed packaging specialist to help produce its packaging (October 2022).

Ping Pong Dim Sum approached Newton Print in Newton Abbot for help with a pre-glued printed sleeve to fit a film sealed pulp tray for its har gau and vegetable dumplings products.

A new support programme is being launched to help adults in Devon to improve their maths skills.

Devon Multiply, which is funded by the UK Government and managed by Devon County Council, is inviting innovative proposals to deliver numeracy skills training among adults in Devon, particularly to those who are harder to reach.
