As thousands of runners prepare to take on the Great West Run on May 24th, a local startup is ensuring they don’t spend the next week in pain.

Race Home , a specialist running and recovery brand founded in Exeter, has partnered with the Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel to launch a high-tech "Recovery Pod." The pop-up sanctuary will offer "Pulsio Pro" compression technology—usually reserved for elite athletes—to local charity runners and club athletes alike.

Like many of the longer stay residents in the care of Blue Cross Rehoming Centres, Bobby is a handsome, friendly chap. So, it is sad to see that the little rabbit has recently spent his second Christmas and New Year in an animal shelter.

Since finding himself homeless as a youngster, Bobby has at least found a soulmate in girlfriend Shadow.

Shadow is a beautiful three-year-old Rex with lovely long ears, and the two little black rabbits are hoping that it won’t be long before someone offers them a forever-home together.

Little Phoebe wants nothing more for 2023 than a loving home to call her own. She is beautiful, intelligent and friendly – but sadly, Phoebe suffers from asthma.

Often triggered by dusty environments, asthma causes airways to become inflamed and can make breathing difficult. An asthma attack can be extremely serious, even life-threatening, and much like people, other animals can be sufferers.

Phoebe is one such animal. She is a pretty, seven-year-old, calico cat who is currently being cared for by a Blue Cross foster carer in Devon.

Taco Bell opens in Exeter

Taco Bell. the world-famous Mexican-inspired restaurant brand will opened a new restaurant in Sidwell Street, Exeter for dine in, take away and click and collect orders on Tuesday (24 January). The launch will marked the brand’s 126th UK restaurant opening.
