Darts Farm celebrates 55 years with Summer Festival

Darts Farm is celebrating a remarkable milestone - 55 years since of ‘Darts Farm’ and they are celebrating with a three-day Summer Festival from 12th to 14th June 2026.

The long weekend community celebrations include live music, from legendary local band Mad Dog Mcrea and The Luke Combs Experience, with a vibrant line-up of local talent.

A community bus will help residents from the two towns and the surrounding villages get to the Health and Wellbeing Centre soon to be created from what is currently Budleigh Salterton Community Hospital. It will also help people from Budleigh Salterton and surrounding villages travel to Exmouth Hospital.

Mystery donor leaves £1,000 at charity shop

Hospiscare has received another mystery donation – this time £1,020 was left outside its flagship store in Exeter’s Fore Street.

The money was left in a large bag, containing a purple quilt, just by the front door a few minutes before staff arrived to open up in the morning.

Last Christmas Hospiscare, Exeter’s local end of life charity, celebrated receiving £3,450 after cash was left in two carrier bags outside its Cowick Street shop and just last month Hospiscare received another mystery donation of £140 in notes, this time through the post, to the same store.

Recycle Devon is pleased to be able to launch a series of public, free to attend repair, refurbishment and upcycling events to take place throughout 2015.

The events will pass on skills and ideas to keep bicycles, electrical goods, furniture, clothes and other textiles from going to waste.

The initial series of workshops will focus on repair and maintenance of bicycles intending to help people bring a long, forgotten bike back into use that might otherwise have ended up being scrapped.

Following a police search of a commercial premises in the Dawlish area an assortment of power and garden tools have been found.

These are suspected to be stolen property from burglaries that have taken place in the last few months.
