Honorary degree for former Exeter MP

Former city MP Ben Bradshaw thanked University of Exeter students for “all they have given the city” as he joined their graduation ceremony to be given his own honorary degree.

Stagecoach South West has announced that, due to popular demand, it is extending its sale on tickets for the luxury Stagecoach Gold route 57 until the end of February.

Devon county councillors are calling on the region’s MPs to rebel against the Government if the local government settlement is again inadequate to provide front line services and support for vulnerable people. A University of Exeter psychologist has been given three prestigious prizes for his work to further understanding of how the human mind regulates behaviour.

Frederick Verbruggen won the awards because of his significant contribution to the study of ‘executive control’ over the past decade.

Motorists are being warned to take care on Devon's roads today after heavy rain left standing water in many areas.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Devon this weekend.
