Trust recognised for commitment to armed forces

The Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust has been recognised nationally for its commitment to the armed forces.

The Trust has received a bronze award from the Ministry of Defence under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

The scheme recognises UK employers that support defence personnel and inspire others to do the same.

Darryn Allcorn, director of workforce and development for the Trust, said: “We’re delighted to be recognised for our commitment to supporting serving, former and prospective defence personnel and their families.

“Our values are closely aligned with the Armed Forces Covenant and we’re proud to do our bit to ensure those people who make huge sacrifices on our behalf receive the recognition and support they deserve in the workplace and the wider community.”
