Take care on the roads as conditions treacherous in places

Problems abound on the roads in and around Exeter this morning due to flooding. Drivers are advised to approach the A3015 Topsham Road in Countess Wear at Countess Wear Roundabout with care due to a Traffic light failure.

Drivers are also requested to take care on the A376 which is reported to be partially blocked in both directions between the A3052 junction in Clyst St Mary and the Featherbed Lane junction in Exmouth, because of flooding.

Flooding is also affecting the A3052 in both directions between the B3180 junction in Hawkerland and the A375 School Street junction in Sidmouth.

A collapsed manhole on St John's Road in Exmouth around the Churchill Road junction is also causing problems for drivers.

Looking to the Tiverton area, the A361 is reported to be partially blocked eastbound between the A396 Heathcoat Way junction in Tiverton and Tiverton in Sampford Peverell, because of an accident and debris on the road.

Please take care on the roads this morning, as other roads may be affected. Don't take risks driving through flood water as you never know what the road surface is like below.
