Essential resurfacing will start on Lea Road in Tiverton on Monday (13 May) and is expected to take around two weeks to complete.

The road will be temporarily closed during the daytime, from 9am to 3:30pm, in order to carry out the work, but the road will re-open each evening and at the weekend.

No work will be carried out on site on Thursday 16 May, Thursday 23 May and Monday 27 May, and the road will be open to traffic on these days.

The scheme, which will be carried out by contractor SWH, is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday 28 May - subject to favourable weather conditions.

Vehicles will not be able to park on the road during the work. However, the resurfacing will be carried out in sections to enable residents living in the closure area to have vehicular access to their properties for the majority of the time, either by following temporary signs or liaising with the site foreman.

Access for pedestrians and emergency services will be maintained at all times.

For all other traffic, a signed diversion route will be in place via the A361 and A396 Heathcoat Way.
