Radio Exe will be joining Children’s Hospice South West’s Westpoint Rainbow Run this year.

This great family event takes place on Saturday 10th June at its brand new location at the fabulous Westpoint Arena. As well as all the fun of the Rainbow Run, whereby you get showered with powder paint around the 5k course, for 2017 you can also enjoy a full event village with lots of entertainment for the whole family including face-painters and bouncy castles plus music from Radio Exe who are supporting the event.

Paul Nero , Managing Director of Radio Exe said: We’re thrilled to be media partners for this year’s Exeter Rainbow Run. We’ll be reminding, cajoling and enthusing our listeners to sign up and take part; sponsor someone else if they can’t join in themselves; and find out more about the great work of Children’s Hospice South West too.’

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is hoping that the 2017 run will be the charity’s best ever and it is hoped that up to 3000 people will take part.  Jayne Jarrett, events fundraiser at CHSW said: ‘Bringing our much-loved Rainbow Run to Westpoint is so exciting for the hospice. We’re really hoping to see as many participants as possible and that it will really be a day to remember.’

As children aged from five are able to take part, this is one event where you can bring the whole family and make a day of it.  The run itself is a 5k route with five different coloured paint stations. It is aimed at all levels and you can jog or walk the course if you prefer – the main objective is just to get messy!

Entry for the run is just £17.50 for adults and £11 for children with a family ticket for £51.30. There are also discounts for groups, and you can register online at www.chsw.org.uk/rainbowexeter

The run supports Children’s Hospice South West’s Little Bridge House hospice near Barnstaple which cares for life-limited children and their families. As well as medical care, the hospice offers music therapy, a dedicated sibling team and home from home respite care for the whole family.

This year’s Rainbow Run will be supported by Radio Exe who will also be presenting at the event.
