Lorry blaze in Honiton

Two appliances from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were mobilised to a lorry blaze near the A35 outside of Honiton yesterday ( Saturday 12th January).

Crew were callled to the blaze, which took place near the BP Garage garage on the A35 outside of Honition, in the early hours of Saturday ( 12th January) morning

Upon arrival crews confirmed one artic tractor unit well alight, crews got to work using two hose reel jets and one compressed air foam branch.

The fire was so extensive to the vehicle that crews required assistance from another appliance.

A further appliance was mobilised from Axminster.
