Exeter’s annual Christmas market will finish for another year this evening.

Christmas shoppers will have until 9pm tonight to buy gifts from the market stalls made up of traders from the local area and all over Europe.

There’s a huge range of Christmas treats available for  hungry shoppers to feast on  with a over 50 traders selling roast Hog, Belgian chocolates, Baklava, crepes, specialty cheeses and meats from across the continent.

Local retailers make up over 30% of the traders selling a wide range of traditional Christmas crafts and local foods as well as speciality items available only at the market.

The end of the market also means that the hugely popular Camper Coffee Co will be renewing its search for a more permanent pitch somewhere in the city.

In the last few weeks owners Gary Williams and Paul Maddick have built a dedicated following of the city’s coffee lovers from the back of ‘Rosie’  their fully restored 1964 VW Camper Van.

The market was hosted by Exeter City Centre Management in partnership with Exeter Cathedral, Exeter Chamber of Commerce and the Heart of Devon Tourism Partnership.
