Jake Named Most Promising Trainee Quantity Surveyor at CECA South West Awards
Jake Martin, from Exeter, has been named the South West’s Most Promising Trainee Quantity Surveyor at the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Young Achiever Awards ceremony in Torquay.
Jake, who works for Roadform Civil Engineering in Newton Abbot, has made a stunning start to his career, achieving 92% average marks in the first year of his course at the University of the West of England.
From the outset of his time with Roadform, he has shown maturity and ability beyond his years, covering for more senior colleagues when needed and making a direct impact on project delivery. He’s also an inspiration for younger team members.
Paul Santer, CECA South West Regional Director, commented: “Jake has made a fantastic start to his career and fully deserves this accolade. Not only is he focussed on his own development, but he also shows genuine interest in supporting younger members of the team. It’s clear he has an extremely bright future ahead of him.”
The CECA South West Young Achiever Awards are presented annually in recognition of exceptional performance. As the winner of the Most Promising Trainee Quantity Surveyor Award, sponsored by OCU Group, Jake received an inscribed trophy and cheque for £750.
