Children had lots of fun at an Exeter church summer holiday club, with games, drama, crafts, stories and a sports day.

Staff and volunteers from Isca Church welcomed 67 children to the club, which had the theme Polar Explorers, and took place at Willowbrook School.

They held their sports day at the Exeter Arena and later enjoyed a high-spirited prize giving and bbq at the new The Beacon, youth and community centre in Beacon Heath.

Duncan Medlock, Isca Church children’s worker, said: “We had an amazing week with lots of fun, games, crafts and teams chanting their names at the tops of their voices. There were lots of leaders with pies on their faces! It was fantastic to see the children with smiles on their faces.”

Many of the children already go along to Isca Church’s weekly Friday night club held at Willowbrook School.
