Free microchipping for pets in Exeter

It's now compulsory that your dog should be micro chipped.

Statistics (we like statistics) show that there are around 1.8 million dogs not chipped which makes them untraceable if they go missing. You just need to look on this site www.doglost.co.uk to see how common and frequent dogs do go missing.

As well as dogs going missing we also get the occasional dog that's been dumped, again having it legally chipped will help us ID the animal and owner.

As a dog owner myself i wanted to hold a free micro chipping event for anyone (City Wide and beyond) who hasn't already done this. We're also opening this up to other pet owners so if your pet hasn't been chipped come down and get it done (snakes and children not included.)

I've secured POCA (Proceeds of Crime Act) funds to enable this to happen so i'll be holding another event on Saturday 10th June at Vets4Pets inside Pets at Home, Stone Lane Retail Park, Marsh Barton, Exeter from 10am-4pm during their open day.

You can either phone them on 01392 434386 to book your place or staff are happy for you to just turn up on the day and they'll slot you in between appointments.

Microchips are inserted by staff from Vets4Pets and it’s all done free of charge. So if you’ve got one dog or a litter then pop down and see us.

The microchips are supplied by Pet Identity. The great thing about Pet Identity is that you can update any future changes free of charge
