Exeter care home recognised as part of the nation’s Top 20 Care Home Group

Elizabeth Finn Homes, who own and operate The Lodge, has been named a Top 20 mid-size care home group 2026 by Carehome.co.uk.

This prestigious award recognises the highest rated providers based on reviews from residents, family and friends, highlighting excellence in care. The Lodge is one of Elizabeth Finn’s eight homes, all located across southern England and the home counties, together the group achieved an overall score of 9.8 out of 10, with The Lodge individually achieving a score of 10.

The award does not just recognise the group’s commitment to care but also to resident wellbeing, enrichment of daily life and the provision of an environment full of love and inclusion.  The Lodge is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, reflecting the levels of safety, comfort and individualised support.

The Lodge is a Victorian villa located just outside the centre of Exeter on Spicer Road. Set in attractive, established gardens, the home offers 60 bedrooms and provides residential and nursing care on a permanent or short stay basis as well as end of life care.
