Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau is looking for volunteers and will be holding a recruitment fair at their office on Wednesday 3 December.

They will be recruiting for a range of roles including:

• Advisor – Give generalist advice to clients.
• Gateway assessor – Identify issues, next steps and handle emergencies
• Reception and information guide – meet people as they arrive and help them access self help resources.

You will receive training for all roles. The advisor and gateway assessor roles come with a specific and thorough training course which may take between 1-2 days a week to complete. Once fully trained you would be expected to complete a morning and afternoon advice session each week.

To find out more and to book a place at the fair please email victoria.tate@exetercab.org.uk or visit the Exeter CAB website and go to the ‘Volunteer’ tab. www.exetercab.org.uk

Volunteering with the Citizens Advice Bureau is a great way to pick up skills, make friends and feel part of an enthusiastic team. And it’s not just worthwhile; volunteering can also be fantastic fun and hugely rewarding.

The Citizens Advice Bureau is the UK’s largest advice charity. Of the 28,500 people who work for the CAB service, 21,500 of them are volunteers. They take on a range of roles from giving advice to fundraising, admin, campaigning and trusteeship.
