Devon woman, 28, killed in crash

A 28-year-old woman from Devon has been killed in a crash.

Poice were called to the collision involving two vehicles, a blue Renault Megane and a silver Toyota MR2, at the top of Kingston Hill, Dorset at 6.33pm on Sunday 20 December 2015.

The 28-year-old, from Newton Abbot, died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.

A 49-year-old man and a 44-year-woman sustained serious injuries and two 11-year-old children were slightly injured. All are from the Barnstaple area of Devon and were all taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.

Police Sergeant Dave Stroud, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision to please call Dorset Police.

“I would like to thank motorists for their patience during the road closure, which is necessary to allow us to establish what happened. While the closures are in place, I would urge motorists to please avoid the area and look for alternative routes.”
