Devon care expert panel aim to start a county-wide conversation on care

Bluebird Care Exeter launches short films with local care experts to encourage a county-wide conversation on care

The public’s top 10 questions on care and ageing have been answered by a local panel of experts from the NHS, local authority and voluntary sector in a series of short films to be launched from this weekend on Bluebird Care Exeter’s You Tube channel.

The  care panel included Director of Hospiscare, Tina Naldrett; the Chief Executive of Age UK Exeter, Martyn Rogers, local GP and NHS Clinical Lead for Social Prescribing Dr Michael Dixon and Cllr Andrew Leadbetter from Devon County Council.

They responded to questions such as ‘Who pays for care and how can I access benefits?’; ‘What is power of attorney?’ and ‘How do I choose between residential care or care at home?’

All the films are designed to encourage people to start planning for their future now.
