Crediton couple celebrate 65th anniversary

Reg and Margaret Nott celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on 30 April.

Eighty-nine year old Reg and Margaret, 84, were married at St Mary’s Church in Morchard Bishop and farmed at East Worlington until 1990 when they moved to Crediton.

Reg is a keen gardener and grows flowers and vegetables.

Both love quiz programmes, their favourite being Countdown. Their Countdown-themed anniversary cake even had the word “anniversary” on it with the letters jumbled up, just like the TV quiz.

Reg and Margaret said when they met it was love at first sight, although it was quite a family affair as Reg’s brother married Margaret’s sister.

They have one son, two daughters, 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A family celebration has been arranged for them at the weekend.
