A377 re-opens

The A377 between Exeter and Crediton was closed in both directions this morningafter a serious accident.

Two fire appliances from Exeter Danes Castle were mobilised to reports a collision at A377, Half Moon Village, Newton St Cyres.

On arrival, crews found there to be a two vehicle collision, with one male still in one of the vehicles.

Crews assisted paramedics and removed the male using small tools.

He was conveyed to hospital via ambulance and will be transferred to Derriford later today.

The road is now open.
