Six Nations finale to be shown at Vue Exeter

THE final three matches of the Six Nations Championship are due to be played this Saturday – and fans can get tickets to watch live on the big screen at Vue Exeter completely free.

The concluding tournament fixtures were suspended in March due to coronavirus restrictions and after a break of nearly eight months, this highly anticipated tournament is finally resuming.

Kicking off this weekend is Wales v Scotland at 2.15pm live from the Llanelli’s Parc y Scarlets. All eyes are on Scotland’s captain Stuart Hogg off the back of his winning streak in the European and English Premiership double with Exeter. Rugby fans will look forward to seeing whether Hogg can transfer his skills to the international stage.

This will be followed by Italy v England at 4.30pm at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. With England maintaining a 100% winning record against Italy since their first match in 1991, the pressure is on for the Italian squad.

The 7.45pm match, being shown at Vue, is the climax of this year’s Six Nations Championship. France will face Ireland at the Stade de France in Paris and fans will have the opportunity to watch with other enthusiasts on the big screen to see if the visitors can win with a bonus point to guarantee themselves the title.

Johnny Carr, Event Cinema Manager at Vue Entertainment, said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring even more big screen sport to fans this year as we broadcast the last of the Six Nations Championship in selected Vue sites.

“This weekend, we’re thrilled to be hosting some of the most exciting teams in the world of Rugby for this international finale where the 2020 title is on the line.

“As with all of our screenings, safety is our number one priority and our smart booking system with automated physical distancing will ensure that capacity remains within government guidelines, including a maximum of six in each individual booking.

In order to maximise the safety of everyone attending, shouting and chanting will not be permitted, and customers will be reminded of this upon entry.

“We look forward to welcoming fans to experience the matches on the Big Screen.”

Tickets for the screening of the Six Nations are completely free, but limited and strictly first come first served. They can be reserved at www.myvue.com.
