It's that time of year again when Father Christmas and his team of elves step up their toy workshop operations to ensure their production targets are met before Christmas Eve.

With the world's population increasing, Father Christmas needs more and more space to store the toys and gifts produced at his North Pole headquarters before the big delivery date.

Like many businesses, Father Christmas makes use of his local Dainton Elf Storage to meet peak demand and now the successful storage company is offering members of the public a similar service to the one used by Father Christmas.

Shaun Duncan, Dainton's Operations Director, says “Father Christmas has been using our Elf Storage for many years to cope with increasing global demand for his services. The planning restrictions at the North Pole means he cannot extend his workshop or build new facilities so he has turned to Elf Storage as a solution.”

“As the countdown to Christmas begins, we are now offering members of the public free storage for their presents too. We all remember as children the excitement of Christmas and the strong temptation to have a sneaky look for the presents our parents may have hidden around the house. You can be confident that with Elf Storage your presents are safe from curious children and partners!”

In return for free storage of Christmas presents, Dainton Elf Storage are asking for a small voluntary contribution of just £1 to help them meet their fundraising goal of £5,000 for Children's Hospice South West.

Shaun Duncan says “Christmas is a magical time for children, however through our work with Children's Hospice South West we know that for some families it can also be challenging and they need extra special care. Elf Storage is our way of raising awareness of the Charity's very valuable services that benefit local families throughout the year.”

Dainton will store the Christmas gifts in their secure storage units ready for collection on or before 24th December. Elf Storage is perfect for storing bikes or a collection of smaller presents. The self storage company has already had enquiries about the service and is confident of exceeding their fundraising goal.

Naomi Dymond, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at CHSW, says: “Many parents of the children we provide care for feel overwhelmed by the competing demands they are juggling at this time of year – the round the clock needs of their child, the anticipation of brothers and sisters and the challenge of preparing all the festive fare. This is why our hospices remain open throughout the year – so we can be there for families, whenever they need us, to provide much needed support.”

Parents who want to take advantage of Elf Storage and support Children's Hospice South West can  call Dainton's depot at Woodbury Salteron, near Exeter, on 01392 882323, email exeter@dainton.com or visit dainton.com/elf-storage.
Elf Storage is also available at Dainton Self Storage depots in Barnstaple, Heathfield, Ipplepen, Torquay, Paignton, Lee Mill and St Austell.
