Exeter Chamber welcomes two new board directors

Exeter Chamber held their annual general meeting at Exeter College on Monday 8th November, where two new board directors were officially appointed. Patrick Tigwell of Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants replaces Laura Seaward as Treasurer and Charlotte McGregor of Wollens Solicitors replaces Laura McFadyen as a representative from the legal sector. The new appointments will contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of Exeter’s leading business membership organisation.  

Patrick Tigwell, a chartered accountant for over 25 years, is Partner and Head of the Exeter office for Thomas Westcott. The independent accountancy practice acts for a wide variety of clients ranging from individual tax return cases to businesses operating in local, national, and international markets. As General Practice Partner, Patrick is an expert in dealing with owner-managed businesses and the issues business owners face. He advises on growth and tax strategies from a start-up business to a multi-million turnover business, across all industry sectors. 

Patrick comments on his new appointment as Exeter Chamber director and treasurer; “Exeter is the engine of growth of business in Devon and it is a real honour to have been appointed to be part of such a dynamic and inclusive organisation. I am looking forward to helping mould the future of the Chamber as part of that growth. The Chamber board has been re-inventing itself with some great people over the years and I am excited to be part of this forward-thinking leadership team.” 

Charlotte McGregor is a Partner at Wollens Solicitors and heads their Exeter Office. With three hubs located in Exeter, South Devon and North Devon, Wollens is a full spectrum law firm, servicing clients across Devon and beyond, the firm has exceptional specialists across private client matters as well as company and commercial law. 

Charlotte has over 15 years of experience and her specialism is in Estate Administration with a focus on high value and / or complex Estates acting for clients across the UK. Charlotte is highly regarded by her clients and professional contacts and has lived and worked in Exeter for 13 years and has developed strong links and many professional relationships during her time in the city. She is passionate about supporting local businesses and the communities in which she lives and works.
