Redrow Homes has awarded two members of staff in the South West, with Sales Consultant of the Year and Customer Service Employee of the Year Awards, at its annual Customer Conference.

This year the awards were held virtually and celebrated and recognised those that have excelled in their roles within each of the company’s regions. The Sales Consultant of the Year award was given to Karen Heard, sales consultant at the Romansfield development in Okehampton, Devon, and the Customer Service Employee of the Year award was given to Tracey Austin.

James Holmear, group sales director at Redrow said: “Karen is utterly considerate, dependable, resilient, fair and honest and will always stay to get the job done no matter what time of day. She will never give up on a lead and will explore all avenues to nail the sale.

“Always looking for a solution, not the problem, she will go out of her way to ensure that an action is followed through to completion. Karen knows the local market and competitors inside out and is always one step ahead.

“Looked up to by her peers, Karen is often consulted when help is needed and she freely shares her knowledge and experience. She will always look at the bigger picture and if she can’t sell to someone on her own development, she will try to get that customer to reserve on one of our other developments.”

Karen was awarded with the Sales Consultant of the year Award for her hard work at Redrow’s now sold-out development in Barnstaple, Devon, Glenwood Park. Since Glenwood Park’s completion she has now joined the team at Redrow’s Romansfield development.

On winning the award, Karen said: “It is a great honour to have won this award and to be rewarded for my work this year is something I am extremely proud of.

“Everyone in the South West has had to adapt our sales techniques to work in the current climate and being given this accolade is a great reward for me and the team.”

Tracey Austin was recognised for her commitment and dedication though challenging times. Emma Morris, Customer and Quality Director at Redrow Homes, said: “Tracey has won this award due to her hard work and dedication over a very trying year.

“During the first lockdown, Tracey set up an office at home and had all incoming calls and emails directed to her. She dealt with all of the problems with not only a professional attitude but also with great empathy and she was constantly seeking solutions for customers whose concerns were many and varied.

“Tracey managed to keep in constant communication with customers, staff and contractors alike. Without doubt Tracey has been the one constant that her team felt they could rely on, a dedicated person to its team, Redrow and its customers.”

On winning the award Tracey said: “I am extremely proud to win the Customer Service Employee of the Year, it means a lot to be given this amazing accolade.”
