Cullompton-based logistics firm, Kay Transport has celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Palletways European distribution network.

As one of 300 plus transport providers in the pan-European express delivery network, the company is a key link in the Palletways supply chain. They all combine their resources to deliver small consignments of palletised freight quickly and cost effectively to markets across 13 European countries via 12 hub operations. Today, the network delivers 30,000 consignments of palletised freight every day - equivalent to one every second.

Tim Prout, Principal at Kay Transport said: "We are delighted to be part of an established distribution network which has grown to be a major brand in the logistics sector in just 20 years.

“Our membership of the Palletways network has given us access to new business opportunities. Not only does it allow us to offer express services next day but also across a large area of Europe - and we can collect customers’ goods for pan-European deliveries on just one vehicle. We also gain from the significant commercial support that Palletways provides, which helps us secure more business locally.”

Luis Zubialde, Managing Director of Palletways in the UK, added: "In the last 20 years Palletways has opened up new markets for customers and members of our network and we are continuously investing in our pan-European network to provide them with new opportunities in the future.”
