TUI, the world’s leading holiday company and the UK’s number one holiday provider, has announced its winter 2020 programme with the reintroduction of holidays to Sharm El Sheikh. 

From the 4th November 2020, weekly TUI flights to Sharm El Sheikh will be operating on a Wednesday from Exeter airport. 

Famous for the glistening red sea and amazing sandy beaches, customers can expect high quality hotels and the year round sun the region is known for.  Four hotels including old favourites along the beautiful Red Sea coast are now on sale, with even more in the pipeline.

Exeter Airport showcases 2020 season to travel trade

More than 130 travel agents attended Exeter Airport’s annual showcase travel trade event on Thursday (November 21) to learn more about the airport’s exciting 2020 season.

The event was held in partnership with Exeter-based Flybe, which will rebrand as Virgin Connect next year, and included representatives from sister company Virgin Atlantic and more than 20 tour operators.

Exeter Airport is offering 36 international and domestic routes for 2020 and recently announced that it had passed the one million passenger milestone in the last 12 months.

Flybe is operating up to 16 flights a week to Amsterdam from Exeter Airport this winter.

This includes the newly added weekday opportunity to fly to the Dutch capital one-way on the early morning London City flight that then continues to Amsterdam Schiphol without through-passengers having to leave the aircraft. This gives business travellers in particular the opportunity to make convenient day returns.

Exeter University student Lily Harris had an unexpected surprise when she was chosen by Exeter Airport to help celebrate its one millionth passenger milestone.

Lily, 20, had just flown in from Paris with Flybe when she was met by airport managing Director Matt Roach and presented with a bottle of champagne and flowers as a thank you for helping Exeter Airport to reach one million passengers in the last 12 months.
