When it comes time to book your vacation, nothing beats a relaxing week at a holiday park. While going abroad can be exciting, staying within the country is much less stressful, affordable, and just as fun. There are so many beautiful places to explore within the UK and many holiday parks which will provide you with all the facilities that you need.

When you’re deciding on a holiday park to visit, there are a few main factors to consider.

  1. Location

The first consideration when booking your vacation is the location. There are some fantastic options for a caravan holiday in wales, and by choosing the area you prefer, you can begin to narrow down your choices. You might prefer to be as far south as possible to take advantage of the weather, or maybe there’s a specific area you’ve never been before that you have your heart set on. By identifying the location that you want to go first, you can begin your search in that area.

  1. Country or city

Next, you need to factor in what type of area you want to be in. Would you prefer something more rural, away from the hustle and bustle? Alternatively, you may prefer to be near a city, with lots of amenities and entertainment options close by. There are holiday parks which can meet both preferences. Many people who live in the country would rather go on holiday somewhere with more going on. The opposite may be true for those who live in the city and want a place to wind down.

  1. On-site facilities

Think about what types of facilities that you will require on-site. If you have a family, you may want a holiday park with activities for the kids. An outdoor playground, arcade and swimming pool would be great to have on-site to keep the kids busy. Maybe you’d like food services on-site such as a full-service restaurant, so you don’t need to cook your own meals while on holiday. A clubhouse or bar is also nice to have for those who don’t have kids and want to meet others who are on holiday in the park.

  1. Seaside or landlocked?

Are you set on a holiday by the seaside or are you not fussed? While being on the shore is a requirement for many people going on holiday, it’s not a make or break for others. If you want somewhere to set in nature, with lots of hikes than you may not care about being near the sea. You may also just want to chill out within the holiday park itself the whole time and take advantage of the on-site facilities. Identifying if you need something on the waterfront will help you choose the best option for you.

  1. Size

Lastly, you’ll want to think about the size of the park. Typically, larger parks will have more facilities and amenities on-site. They also tend to offer more in terms of entertainment, such as live bands or Bingo nights. That said, there will also be more people around, and it will tend to be noisier.
