Devon is a county in South West England that boasts a diverse coastline with a variety of beaches, ranging from sandy shores to pebble beaches, hidden coves to expansive stretches of coastline. The beaches in Devon are known for their natural beauty, picturesque landscapes, and opportunities for outdoor activities such as swimming, surfing, sunbathing and coastal walks. It’s a great location to stay at a holiday park this summer.

Do you know which Devon Beach scored the highest?

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park recently looked at some interesting data from TripAdvisor, looking at the top 10 best beaches in Devon with the most 5 star reviews.

Woolacombe gained the top spot as the best reviewed beach, coming in with 3,075 5 star reviews. Coming in behind includes Exmouth, Westward Ho! and Tunnels, however, the results for these beaches are much more competitive, in comparison to Woolacombe which takes a significant lead.

Woolacombe Bay leads by a much larger amount, which does make sense based on its ‘miles of uninterrupted sands’ as well as it’s cleanliness, fantastic water quality and facilities.

If you have anywhere else on your beach bucket list this summer…

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park also had a look at further TripAdvisor data that shows some of Devon’s ‘hidden gem beaches’ with really high percentages of top reviews, even if the total review count is slightly less in comparison to beaches like Woolacombe.

One clear example is that Elberry Cove comes out with one of the highest numbers of 5 star reviews in comparison to its total reviews, suggesting it’s one of the best smaller gems to visit during your stay in Devon.

It’s also important to remember that the number of reviews these hidden gems received is significantly less than Woolacombe, which further demonstrates the popularity of Woolacombe and it’s beautiful coastline.
