People in Exeter are being urged to prioritise their heart health by getting a free blood pressure test when they shop.

Tesco have partnered with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to encourage people to take a moment for their wellbeing this Heart Month by visiting the Tesco Extra store pharmacy in the Vale Shopping Centre for a quick blood pressure check.

A medical student at the University of Exeter, who is also Miss Cardiff, has aligned her career path to developing a cure for alopecia after living with the condition for two years.

Millie-Mae, 19, was just about to compete in the 2019 Miss Wales final when she noticed a patch of hair loss on her head. Before she knew it, her hair would fall out in clumps while in the shower. After calling her GP, Millie-Mae was told that she has alopecia areata.

The number of patients in Devon’s hospitals with Covid-19 has risen substantially over the last month. Around 250 people in hospital have tested positive for the virus, roughly five times the number in early September.
