Crave, a well-loved independent restaurant from Exeter, is set to open its second restaurant in Bristol this spring, marking the next chapter for the growing brand.

Founded by Sameer Shetty, Crave opened on Exeter’s Quayside in summer 2024 and quickly built a loyal following for its welcoming atmosphere, all-day menus and focus on flavoursome food enjoyed without fuss. Regen SW, a centre for sustainable energy expertise based in Exeter, hosted a community energy feast last weekend to celebrate the volunteers and groups working tirelessly to establish community energy projects in the region. These projects are being set up to benefit local communities and generate income to make them more vibrant and sustainable places to live.

If you look closely the small signs and signals of spring are all around. Like a faintly warmer breeze or the scent of the air in the morning. Double win for Ottery's Rusty Pig

The Rusty Pig in Ottery St Mary has scooped two top gongs in the Live Love Eat Awards.

Not only did the popular restaurant pick up the Platinum Award for the best restaurant in Devon at the event held at the Deer Park Hotel in Honiton, it also collected the coveted top spot as 2014 Regional Restaurant Champion.

“The team was absolutely thrilled to win the award for Devon, but to pick up the regional award was the icing on the cake,” said owner and head chef, Robin Rea, who founded the restaurant and butchers shop in Yonder Street in 2011.

Come Dine with Me contestants wanted

The Channel 4 hit show Come Dine With Me is back for a new daytime series.

Over five days five strangers, from all walks of life, take turns to host the perfect dinner party for each other.

At the end of the week the best host wins a £1,000 cash prize.
