Hunt for baby who was born on Tuesday June 18, 2012

The Magdalen Chapter, in Exeter, is on the look out for a tot who is soon to celebrate his or her first birthday.

The Chapter, which opened its doors to the public on Tuesday June 18th 2012, is looking for a child who was born on the same day as the hotel opened.

The search will see one lucky child being offered the chance to host his or her first birthday party at The Magdalen Chapter. The prize will include high tea and cake for up to 20 guests plus helium balloons for all the children to take home and luxury spa party bags for the mums.

Local singers and bands can win the opportunity to perform at the After Dark Party at Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink in a competition being run by festival music partners, Mama Stones.

This year’s Festival runs from Friday 26 April - Sunday 28 April, with three fantastic Festival After Dark Party nights on 25, 26 and 27 April and marks the 10th anniversary of the event.

The winning acts will have the opportunity to support the Mama Stones House band at the Festival After Dark Party on the Saturday night, 27 April.

Nine young would-be MasterChefs battled it out for a place in the first finals of the Great Schools' Cook Off at Exeter College this week with Ruth Maddicks, 14 from Uffculme and Bethany Baines, 14, from St James School, Exeter celebrating as worthy winners through to the challenging final.
