With the forecast set for more warm weather over the next few weeks, it's still the perfect time to enjoy eating fresh, delicious dishes outside. Add a splash of South Devon Chilli Farm's new Cold Pressed Rapeseed Chilli Oil, which has been made with rapeseed oil from the award-winning Bell & Loxton, to give your food a spicy, tasty new twist.

South Devon Chilli Farm's Cold Pressed Rapeseed Chilli Oil, which comes in an elegant 250ml glass bottle, is currently available both online at www.sdcf.co.uk and in a wide range of deli's and independent stores (RRP £4.65).  A blend of South Devon Chilli Farm's hot and fruity dried chillies, which are grown and dried on the chilli farm, are steeped in Bell & Loxton's Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil for two to three weeks. The oil is then filtered and flakes of a medium-heat chilli are added.  The heat from the chillies takes a little time to develop in your mouth (about two minutes) whilst you are enjoying the wonderful flavours.

This new chilli oil benefits from both the great taste profile of Bell & Loxton Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil and the naturally occurring Omega 3, as well as vitamin E, found in this style of oil. It also has half the saturated fat of olive oil making it a much healthier choice.

As well as being great for drizzling and salad dressings, it is also perfect for roasting and frying as it has the additional benefit of a much higher burn temperature than olive oil.  It is also delicious used as a dipping oil with freshly baked warm bread, such as Ciabatta.  A few simple recipe ideas are to use it to bake potato wedges; spice up a chicken or Feta salad or simply drizzle over pasta, pizza and rice dishes to add a subtle chilli kick.

Launched in 2010, Bell & Loxton Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil is grown, pressed and bottled on the family farm in South Devon. The Bells of Bell & Loxton have been farming in South Devon for the past 40 years.  This is a family business which is run from the family farm.

The South Devon Chilli Farm's range of products are available nationwide in deli's and independent stores and are also available online at www.sdcf.co.uk. Alternatively, why not visit South Devon Chilli Farm and see for yourself the impressive range of chillies grown and the passion that goes into the products, which range from chilli growing kits to preserves, sauces and chilli chocolate.  When you're there, enjoy a coffee and lunch in the stylish café whilst taking in the beauty of South Devon countryside.  Follow them on Twitter @SDCF_CO_UK or link up on Facebook.
