Country park to get new play area

Children and families will soon have even more to enjoy when visiting the Grand Western Canal Country Park, with plans underway to create a play area in the Canal Basin in Tiverton.

The new facilities will be located on the little-used grassy area at the very end of the towpath where it meets Canal Hill.

On Sunday 15 March children are invited to make a natural present for mum at ‘Making Mothers’ Day special’ at the Younghayes Centre in Cranbrook, EX5 7DR.

Newton Abbot RFC and the Exeter Chiefs have announced a three day Rugby Training Camp this Easter at Newton Abbot Rugby Club starting on Monday 30th March to Wednesday 1st April.

The cost of the camp is £40 for two days with the third day thrown in for free, courtesy of Exeter Chiefs and Centrax, one of Exeter Chiefs key sponsors.

Open to boys and girls from 5 years to 14 years old, the camp has been organised to teach young rugby enthusiasts rugby and multi sports skills from qualified coaches in a fun, action packed environment.

At Living Coasts, the theme for 2015 is Dive & Flight. Torquay’s coastal zoo and aquarium is celebrating everything that flies in the air or dives in the water. Staff will use the theme in talks, quizzes, craft workshops and trails.

At Easter there will be an Easter Egg trail, live chicks and a crazy Easter Bunny Dive Show. The cute chicks will be in Front of House between Good Friday and Easter Monday (3rd to 6th April).
