Tom O’Flaherty insists he and his Exeter Chiefs team-mates will be ‘raring to go’ as and when the season resumes for the Devon club.

Like all of us, the 25-year-old winger is having to abide the rules of the Government’s lockdown during the current COVID-19 outbreak.

However, when rugby does finally resume, the London-born speedster will be looking to drive the Chiefs onwards and upwards, especially after it was confirmed today that he has signed a new long-term deal with Rob Baxter’s side.

Brought to Sandy Park in the summer of 2017 from the Ospreys, Baxter has...

However, the imposing South African admits his new start in England has surpassed even his own expectations and that life with the Chiefs has proved a smash hit for him, on and off he field.

Just days after agreeing to extend his stay at Sandy Park for the foreseeable future, the 26-year-old forward is already looking to the future and the part he hopes to play in helping Rob Baxter’s side when they return to competitive action.

Kirsten’s hard-hitting, no-nonsense approach, together with his fantastic work ethic, have not only won him many admirers within the game, but has also seen him establish himself as an integral cog in the Exeter engine room....

An independently verified audit took place in the first half of the 2019/20 season, where each current Tyrrells Premier 15s club was assessed based on a combination of their ability to deliver the competition’s Minimum Operating Standards and their on pitch performance. Clubs were then ranked from one to 10 based on the audit...
