Celebrating 100 Years of Morecambe and Wise: Eric and Ern Comes to Exeter

Eric and Ern, the new show from Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens - the Olivier nominated duo behind the hugely celebrated and critically acclaimed West End hit Eric & Little Ern - will be coming to Exeter Northcott Theatre from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 December, as the culmination of an extensive Autumn/Winter UK tour.

The show’s 2026 national tour is a mark of celebration for the 100th birthdays of Eric Morecambe (born 14 May 1926) and Ernie Wise (born 17 November 1925) and their legendary comedy partnership.

Exeter School's National Trust concert - a night to remember!

For many Exeter School pupils, parents and National Trust supporters, the concert in aid of the National Trust in Exeter Cathedral is a highlight in the festive calendar. For the nineteenth year running, the concert showcases the school's senior orchestral groups, brass and choirs in the magnificent cathedral setting. Over 200 pupils will make this year's concert on Tuesday 10 December a night to remember. Blacksmith tradition returns for annual competition St Clement's Day at Finch Foundry

Blacksmiths from all over the South West are set to gather at the National Trust's Finch Foundry on Saturday 23 November. Once a year, they gather at the foundry to practice their art and celebrate their patron saint, Saint Clement, harking back to medieval tradition. The foundry, which is the last working water-powered forge in the country, will be the scene for the gathering, including a rare chance to see the spectacular 'firing of the anvil' and really see sparks fly.

Exeter residents and their childhood cuddly toys are featured in a new exhibition by five young photographers. The photos explore the special connection people have with their old favourite toys, and the stories behind them. The exhibition is the culmination of Quirk Theatre’s project reflecting on the themes of their new Christmas Show, The Velveteen Rabbit. The company will be performing their new take on the traditional story during December.
