Free Cider and Summer Tunes Come to Devon with a Music Series from Thatchers Cider

Free pints, live music and summer vibes

Thatchers is set to delight music and cider fans heading into venues and pubs across the summer with a national 40+ gig series that will visit Devon throughout August.

A mix of Juicy Sounds DJ nights and Summer Sessions acoustic evenings will be held to celebrate what promises to be a summer filled, not just with sport, but with music too.

Events are currently planned for:

  • The Blue Ball in Exeter on Friday 7th August.

Christmas Fayre presents opportunities for festive fun and shopping

It’s very nearly the season to be jolly - and traders are being encouraged to become festive and get ahead of the game by booking their slot in Newton Abbot’s second year of Christmas Street Fayres.

Born Hectic Events, the organisers of last year's successful event, has once again teamed up with Teignbridge District Council and Newton Abbot Town Development Manager Sally Henley to put on two evenings of shopping, music and entertainment. The Street Fayres are back by popular demand on Wednesday 11 December and Wednesday 18 December.

The Money is well worth the price!

Exeter Guildhall is the venue for Kaleider's current production, The Money, and there couldn't be a more appropriate setting.

Last night 13 "benefactors" were seated around a substantial oak table and an equal number of "silent witnesses" sat on the surrounding benches. This is a unique performance and the cast and audience are the same people. There are no roles or script, the comedy and drama are authentic and the tension is palpable.

Adam Isaac helps Barnstaple get festive

Exeter singing star Adam Isaac helped the people of Barnstaple begin their festive celebrations by performing at their Christmas lights switch on.

Adam, who was mentored by Sir Tom Jones in the 2012 series of The Voice, performed material from his own album Train Tracks and also covered tracks by artists such as Lenny Kravitz and Eurythmics. Girl band Stooshe and Britain’s Got Talent stars The Luminites also performed.
