Free Cider and Summer Tunes Come to Devon with a Music Series from Thatchers Cider

Free pints, live music and summer vibes

Thatchers is set to delight music and cider fans heading into venues and pubs across the summer with a national 40+ gig series that will visit Devon throughout August.

A mix of Juicy Sounds DJ nights and Summer Sessions acoustic evenings will be held to celebrate what promises to be a summer filled, not just with sport, but with music too.

Events are currently planned for:

The Blue Ball in Exeter on Friday 7th August.

Big Mix music festival promises a big, wide world of sound in Lyme

A world of sound will fill the air as Lyme Regis prepares for the third annual Big Mix youth music festival on 4 July. Inspired by Doris Lessing’s 'The Memoirs of a Survivor', Beyond Cragporth Rock is a black comedy following the story of six sisters who explain differing versions of their total demise. Outdoor entertainment at Drogo this summer

This summer the croquet lawn at Castle Drogo will be the backdrop for some very special outdoor theatre and music. ‘Cider with Rosie’ from the novel by Laurie Lee will be performed by the Plough Community Theatre on Saturday 27 June, 7-9pm. This Monday 15 June, musician, actor, writer, Stella Grundy will be performing her multimedia music production, The Rise & Fall of a Northern Star at The Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter.

This unique and incendiary show ~ directed by Ian Bloomfield ~ blends comedy and tragedy in rhythmic, pacey dialogue, interspersed with Stella's original music.

Organisers of the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival have released the line up for this year’s festival, taking place from 17th-20th September.

A new mobile-friendly interactive website has been launched today to help anglers, and would-be anglers, find the best spot to fish.

Fishinginfo.co.uk provides everything needed for a fishing trip, from searching for fishing spots to what the weather is doing and live water levels to information on buying a rod licence and where to buy kit.

Produced by the Angling Trust in partnership with the Environment Agency, Met Office and Post Office, Fishinginfo.co.uk is part of a major nationwide drive to increase participation in angling.
