Wind in the Willows

ABBA - Forever

Luke Jackson and Andy Sharps

Luke is a  Singer/Songwriter from Canterbury, Kent, who in 2013 was nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for both the Horizon Award for Best Emerging Talent and The Young Folk Category.  In February 2018 he will be releasing his first live album, featuring his 3 different guises, as a solo artist, with his trio and as a duo with Andy Sharps, with whom he’ll be playing this show. Mo Kenney

T.Rextasy

T.Rextasy returns, transporting audiences back to relive the good old days of the 1970’s.  Accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management, T.Rextasy have been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’. EVENTS

Minecraft Day
Saturday, RAMM, Queen Street, Exeter
Wizard Keen and Friends will take you on an adventure into historic Exeter through a series of Minecraft activities, workshops and the immensely popular ‘build battle’.  Workshops and the ‘build battle’ are open to participants aged 6-12, and are bookable as a day ticket in advance. There will also be a series of free drop-in activities. Participating children must be accompanied by an adult. 10.30am-4pm. https://www.rammuseum.org.uk

Coffee Morning at The Blackmore 
Saturday, 10am,The Blackmore Theatre, 10 Bicton Street, Exmouth
The Exmouth Players (CIO) are holding their monthly coffee morning at The Blackmore Theatre. Go along and join them for tea, coffee and some very lovely home-made cakes.
 
There is a raffle and there are books, cards, DVDs and much more on sale.
  All money raised goes towards refurbishments of the theatre, which The Exmouth Players  own.

Open auditions for The Odd Couple
Sunday, 2.30pm, The Blackmore Theatre, Bicton Street, Exmouth
These auditions are open to both members and non-members of The Exmouth Players (CIO).  Previous acting experience is not essential.  Age is also immaterial.  Just pop along and live and enjoy the experience.  There are two male parts and six female parts. Production dates:  Monday 18 – Saturday 23 June 2018 (including a matinee performance on the Saturday). For further information click here.  

EXHIBITIONS

Dartmoor: A Wild and Wondorous Region
RAMM, Queen Street, Exeter
Dartmoor has inspired generations of artists. This exhibition traces the story of Dartmoor, once described as a ‘dreary mountainous tract’ and later as the epitome of the picturesque. The artists in the exhibition have depicted the moor using a wide range of media including oil paintings, watercolours, engravings and early photographs. Works from RAMM’s collections are displayed alongside loans from British museums and galleries as well as rarely seen works from private collections. The exhibition runs until 1 April.

South West Academy Exhibition
Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Dowell Street, Honiton
An exhibition of work by members of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts.   A new body of work will include paintings, sculpture, prints and ceramics. All of the work on display will be for sale. A catalogue to accompany the exhibition will be available at the gallery. The exhibition runs until 24 February. Dartmoor’s Hidden Depths 
Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, Princetown
A new exhibition by two Dartmoor based artists, Dave Peake and Rosemary Bonney focusing on the influence of water on the Dartmoor landscape as well as providing a glimpse of what lies beneath!
